Founded in 2006, Somerset Mobile Diagnostics offers on-site diagnostics, automotive programming, and mobile ADAS calibrations to collision and mechanical repair shops across Central NJ. Known for fast, accurate, and professional service, we operate with zero risk to our clients—no charge if we can't diagnose or complete the job, and no hourly rates. Somerset Mobile Diagnostics began by serving mechanical repair shops in Somerset County, building a strong reputation through expert mobile diagnostics. As one of New Jersey’s first mobile auto diagnostic technicians, I grew the business through word of mouth and a track record of solving complex issues. Demand quickly increased, pushing the limits of what one technician could handle in a day.
As vehicle technology advanced, I invested in OEM scan tools to support local shops with programming and calibrations, offering a dealership alternative. Growing demand led to more tools and broader service coverage—but turnaround times suffered. To stay efficient, I narrowed the service area and focused on specialized diagnostics.
Today, Somerset Mobile Diagnostics operates with two service vehicles and a full range of OEM scan tools and factory equipment. We support numerous collision and mechanical repair shops across Central New Jersey, specializing in mobile ADAS calibrations, pre/post repair scans, on-site diagnostics, and automotive programming—often with same-day turnaround.
There is a major difference in the service you will receive from a smaller mobile diagnostic company like ours. Online scan service companies are certainly cheaper however the quality of the experience is based solely on the ability of the employee on the other end of the phone. As most shops have found out first hand, these services tends to be very hit or miss and leave a lot to be desired. Insurance companies tend to push for these services due to the low price but online services do not provide the same quality or experience that a good on-site diagnostics company can offer.
